TENNIS
Tennis at Hanover West Club
Built in 1975, our courts had its first organized tournament in the fall of 1975. In 1977, our first affiliation with ALTA began. Today, our newly refurbished courts are active with many ALTA, USTA, T2 and recreational matches. You will also find members playing a casual pick-up game all year round.
TENNIS TEAMS
There have been many Division Winners and City Championships in Ladies', Men's, Mixed, Kid's and Senior Men's teams in Hanover West history. The Tennis Committee is chaired by Denise Miller. If you are a member and interested in joining one of the ALTA or USTA teams; or, if have any questions or suggestions, please contact Denise below.
BUD PARKER TOURNAMENT
Bud Parker, who passed away in 2012, was the unofficial mayor of Hanover West and beloved by all. As captain of the Georgia Tech tennis team, Bud rose to become an SEC doubles champion. As a tribute to Bud, we created this tournament to promote neighborhood camaraderie and to have some good, old-fashion fun. The tournament takes place annually in the spring and culminates in the championship match on Memorial Day Weekend.
